Bozeman Noon Rotary invites proposals from
tax-exempt charitable organizations in the
IMPORTANT 2008-09 DATES: Grants due: May 1, 2008 Applicants notified: by end of June 2008 Projects funded for the period of: July 1, 2008 - June 30, 2009 Final reports due for funded projects: 2 months after completion or September 1, 2009
Bozeman Rotary expects to award approximately
$10,000 in community grants during the next year. We anticipate that the
majority of requests received and awarded will be in the $500 to $2,500 range.
The Bozeman Noon
Rotary will consider support for a wide range of programs and services through
the Community Grants program but will give priority to programs and projects
directed toward:

and Safety

Youth
Programs
·
Neighborhoods
and Civic Improvement
·
Crime
& Substance Abuse Prevention
·
Trails,
Parks and the Environment
·
Arts
and Culture

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
ONE APPLICATION. Bozeman Noon
Rotary will consider only one application per organization. You must use and
sign the enclosed application form. Additional detail (brochures and other
background information) may be enclosed with the proposal form.
CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION. We will
reject an application if it is not accompanied by a copy of a 501(c)(3)
determination letter from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION. In the
case of an application from a church or other faith-based organization, we will
consider an application only if the funded project does not promote a specific religion
or sect and is not religious in its sole purpose.
NONDISCRIMINATION POLICY. Bozeman
Noon Rotary does not discriminate in the awarding of community grants on any
basis prohibited by law. We recognize
that applicants may limit their services or opportunities to specific targeted
populations within the community; however, any such limitations must be
reasonably related to the effective provision of the services/opportunities.
DECISIONS REGARDING FUNDING. All organizations which have applied for a
grant will receive a letter regarding their funding status by the end of June.
GRANT REPORTING. All
organizations receiving a grant from the Bozeman Noon Rotary agree to complete
the grant report form that is attached to the application within two months of
the completion of the project, and NO LATER THAN September 1, 2009.
